Description
Congratulations on your promotion. You are now team lead of a small group of migrants crossing the Darién Gap, the roadless jungle between Colombia and Panama. There is no onboarding and no HR department. There is a map, a shared inventory, and people who keep looking at you like you know what you're doing.
Time passes whenever you travel, and so do hunger, thirst and trauma. Injuries and other effects wear health down. Events interrupt the route with choices, and traits, items and party conditions decide which choices you get. Every decision has a cost. Ideally one you can explain at the next team meeting.
There is no victory screen, only the outcome. The route has a plan. The plan has a short career.
Features
- Move survivors between connected locations on the map. Mandatory team building, no refunds.
- Track health, hunger, thirst and trauma as time passes. Everyone can see the numbers. Nobody enjoys them.
- Carry and use items from the party inventory. It is shared, so the water is a team asset.
- Random events interrupt travel, and locations bring their own encounters. Consider it unscheduled meetings.
- Traits, items and party conditions change which choices appear. Qualifications matter, even here.
- A survivor who dies is removed from the party. There is no undo.
